To access servers, just slide out the drawer and flip up its top to display the large, high resolution 17-Inch TFT LCD display. The display is (VGA/SVGA/XGA/SXGA compatible) with front-panel high-quality controls and Touchpad for easy adjustment. It features triple layered security and plug-and-play installation. The SmartRack Cat5 KVM switches are compatible with all major operating systems and can control any serverΓÇÖs brand and model, regardless of the server condition and network connectivity, covering the entire spectrum of crash scenarios. Use the KVM switch to control up to 16 servers in multiple platforms (PS/2, USB). The innovative ROC technology has each computer/ server directly connected to the switch via a ROC using standard CAT5 cable at a distance of up to 30m/100ft in a star configuration. The 0SU70050 offers a complete network management solution. It combines a 16-port KVM switch, keyboard, touch pad, numeric keypad and 17-in. LCD in a compact housing that stores neatly in a 1U rack drawer and pulls out when needed. No server-resident software is required, so server performance and reliability are never compromised. Upgradable firmware fine-tunes compatibility with emerging standards.
Supports Multiple Platforms
The 0SU70050 supports both PS/2 and USB connections using Tripp Lite 0SU52078/0SU52079 (sold separately) server interface units and inexpensive, readily available Cat5 patch cables (Tripp Lite N201-Series). Connected computers/servers can be located up to 100 feet from the switch. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. Connect multiple versions of multiple platforms in any combination, including Windows®, Mac® (Mac not compatible over IP), UNIX®, Linux, and DOS.
Simple, Flexible Network Control
The 0SU70050 is designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. Its built-in IP capability allows users to access the KVM remotely for complete network control from anywhere in the world. An advanced on screen display (OSD) with high-resolution VGA video up to 1280 x 1024 provides a graphical user interface with a variety of management.
